Apart from the different study places and the different
languages, is the study programme of the trilingual and the
anglophone branch the same?
Both branches consist of the modules Democracy and Society,
European Integration, Federalism and International
Relations. Yet they are different in the following way:
In the anglophone branch the emphasis is put on the
relations between the European Union and the neighbouring
countries and, in particular, the possible future member
states. Consequently, the focus is more on the modules
European Integration and International Relations than in the
trilingual branch.
In the trilingual branch all four modules have the same
importance. In the module Democracy and Society the focus is
on the transition experiences of the Eastern European
countries. The module Federalism includes a comparative
approach and a discussion of the principle of „unity in
diversity“.
